 Capitalism holds us back

A lot of people claim there would be no progress with communism. They say that capitalism creates competition and for whatever odd reason, this is somehow supposed to improve mankind, but one can easily argue the exact opposite! Because capitalism is based on greed, often times we find that capitalism is an obstacle to progress and human advancements. Let me raise the example of fuel. Because so many capitalists thugs make money off of oil, they are likely to prevent anyone from creating an alternative fuel, because of course, this would interfere with the oil baron's profit. Contrary to popular beliefs, the most aggressive bourgeoisie prevails, not the bourgeoisie with the best idea. If you created a cure for cancer, it is impossible to push your cure unless you can outgun those who sell cancer medication. Perhaps if it wasn't for the greed of capitalism, we would be using a cheaper, and cleaner energy source. Unfortunately, the world is run by capitalist greed, which may have set us back 200 years. Another advancement capitalism may have prevented is medical. As you may or may not know, selling drugs is a huge business, not just cocaine, but also aids, and cancer medicine. If you were running a corporation selling cancer medicine, you may not want to see a cure in cancer, and you may use the vast wealth that you have from selling medicine to prevent any cure, or sabatoge any advancement in curing aids, or cancer. There's no way for us to know the clandestine dirt perpetrated by the pharmaceutical corporations thanks to the lack of transparency in the capitalist media dictatorship. How many would be scientists were bought off, or even killed is something that would be hard to figure out. Many of these corporate heads deceived and hurt people to get to where they are, and there is no doubt they would destroy anyone that stood in the way of their profits. Perhaps if we weren't living in a capitalist ces pool, there would have been a cure to cancer and aids by now. My final example is software. Everywhere we go, we see Windows operating system on our computers. The greed of this corporation in conjunction with western imperialism has stamped out any chance for competition. You hardly ever hear of a Japanese, or European operating system, eventhough they possess the capability to create one. But since the west wants complete and total domination, it has caused a monopoly. It's quite pathetic that in our capitalist world, there pretty much exists only 3 operating systems, Linux, OSX, and Windows. All of them are controlled by and based in the west, denying any chance or opportunity for anyone in the third world and beyond. In conclusion, just as much as some would like to argue that capitalism helps create innovation, it does just as much to hinder it.
