Why 1978 was a dark year

We all know 1978 was a dark year for China because they lost their freedom, and independence, but what about the rest of us? How did China's capitulation, and mistakes affect the rest of the world?

those of you who keep up wit chinese media will constantly be bombarded with articles that claim china's opening up and
reform are wonderful things, but 1978 was ONLY wonderful to the ruling class elite of the west who were given huge
advantages from china in the form of markets, and loans. however, if youare an ordinary person, most likely, you have been
affected negatively by 1978.

why 1978 was a dark moment for the world

1) us prison population. from 1978-1998, the us prison population doubled, and actually, it is directly related to china's
opening up and reform. foreign enemies of the us disapeared quickly after china stopped backing them in 1978. with such
favorable situations, the us, and the west in general, was able to focus more on domestic enemies. it was around this time
that the west started locking up its citizens in wholesale. offenses you could not get arrested for in the past suddenly landed you in jail. for example, if you were selling things on the street without a license, this now became punishable by imprisonment.

2) recolonization of africa, and 3 world. with china's surrender to the west, china stopped supporting revolutionary
fighters, and forces. without the support, african resistance died out, paving the way for european imperialists to return
to africa, and exploit its resources, and control african pupet goverments. europeans have not only been able to recolonize
africa, but also countries like indonesia have found themselves back in the western sphere of influence.

3) exploitation of chinese workers, and workers worldwide. after 1978, sweat shops began to pop up all over the world,
particularly in china. prior to that, all chinese factories were state owned, and workers had autonomy. however, after 1978,
workers lost control of the factories they worked in, and slumlords took over. the lack of resistance from third world
freedom fighters enabled the west to return to former colonies such as vietnam to exploit workers.

4) reduction of welfare worldwide. welfare was originally given to people in the first world to disuade them from comunism.
however, after the collapse of comunism in 1978, the west no longer needed to appease its domestic population. it was around
this era that the west as a whole, began cutting back on welfare. today's social services in the west are only a fraction of
what they were in 1977.

5) bad people expand their power. after 1978, china gave concesions to, and cooperated with some of the worst people in the
world, among them are not only westerners, but also japanese, south korean, singaporian, honger, and taiwanese bourgeoisie.
their expansion of power has brought about crime, distrust, and decadence. this is why you see a huge drop in moral values
after 1978. chinese women, particularly those in singapore, who were never into sluty clothes were suddenly modeling
themselves after scandalous western women. porn was spreading fast. around this same time period, family values also saw a steep decline, not only in
asia, but worldwide, including the west itself. the nuclear family became less and less common after 1978. divorce rates
skyrocketed, and juvenile delinquincy went through the roof, leading to a prison industrial complex. parents were no longer parenting their children.

6) pollution. the post 1978 period introduced an era of extreme consumerism, allowing capitalists to push for more
production. people began buying things they didn't need, pushing for huge amounts of pollution that are directly related to
the productions. before that, if your pants ripped, you sewed it back together, and kept wearing it. if your shoe broke,
you'd bring it to a shoe store to have it repaired. after 1978, people started to just throw things away, and buy new ones.
people were also increasingly pursuaded to buy things they couldn't afford, leading to not only pollution, but also crime,
bankruptcy, and debt.

7) not only has china stopped all support for anti imperialist forces, china has now sided with imperialism by lending
trillions to capitalist countries such as the us, and europe, empowering the western adventurism. the iraq war, and
afganistan war could very well have been directly funded by china. it is indeed true when capitalists say that china does
not discriminate between rogue states, and benevolent ones as it chooses time and time again to give hand outs to
imperialist countries like america, and britain.

8) food became less edible. people started eating more artificial foods, and straying away from natural foods. if you look at pictures of americans before 1978, few of them were obese. however, after 1978, obesity started becoming a big problem in america, but the obesity is not a problem of its own, instead, it is a part of a wider problem of decaying health. people were not only eating less healthy, but living less healthy lifestyles. the problem is also very visible in china, where junk food is available on every street corner, however, health food stores are nowhere to be found. often times you will find that older chinese are healthier than younger. this is because people from the pre 78 era had healthier habits. new diseases also starting springing up all over china after 1978. new diseases that werent a problem during the comunist era.

On the surface, we may think that Chinese revisionism is benign, because you don't live in China, but that actually isn't true. Here are some more things that have come as an indirect consequence of China's capitulation, and accomodation of western imperialism

1) Collapse of the USSR. Most of you who study politics knows that some time in the late 60s, China decided it was a good idea to join the western imperialists against the USSR. As a result of this, the west successfully destroyed the USSR, creating a unipolar world where the west is king. Essentially, what China has created is a dictatorship run by the west.

2)The Iraq, and Afganistan wars are also a result of a docile China. The accomodation of China enabled the west to invade both Iraq, and Afganistan. You may ask, how can you blame China for the west invading Iraq, and Afganistan. Think a little, and you may be able to connect the dots. China lends the west trillions of dollars, some of the money that the west uses to invade countries comes directly from China. China has created an unimaginable climate for the west to be rich, and enemy-less. With that condition, the west is free to do whatever it wants. In addition to directly lending money to the west, China also buy billions of procuts from the west. Think about this. GM sells more cars in China than it does in the US. China has become the largest market for western imperialists, and western imperialists make the money they need to invade countries from China. In addition to buying billions from the west, and lending trillions to the west, China also sends millions upon millions of tourists, and students to the west, giving money to the west it needs to invade and oppress the rest of the world.

3) Decadence really started to take off after 1978. The porn movement actually started to take off after 1978. The gay movement also began to really start to take off after that.

4) Prior to 1978, divorce was seen as something shameful. After 1978, families started falling apart. It wasn't until around 1978 that divorce rates began to soar, and with that so did family values really started to crumble, and juveille deliquincy became something that simply couldn't be controlled. This is also tied in with the prison industrial complex where western countries began locking people up like never before. Today juvenile and adult deliquincy is so widespread that the only thing western authorities think they can do is throw pepole in prison. We're now at the point in which television is raising our children, because parents have gotten so bad at what they do that kids have nowhere else to turn by television. To make matters worse, the media is run by a bunch of decadent low lives who are the last people you want raising your kids. If you watch the Chinese media, they are not at all disgusted by the decadence in western media. Instead, the Chinese response has been (after 1978) to emulate what they saw in western media. If you turn on Chinese television, it almost looks identical to western media, with the exception of Chinese faces, and language.

5) Illness, at least in China is on the rise. Ilnesses such as cancer, diabetes, mental illness, and aids has been on the rise since 1978. Chinese people are noticably less healthy than they were in 1966. Even if you observe some of the old peple, they tend to live healthier lives than the young Chinese who were exclusively products of Chinese capitalism.

China wants to claim that its opening up and reform is good for the world, but is it really? You may be able to argue that China's opening up and reforms are good for western multinational corporations, and their stooges, but can you really argue that ordinary people are benefiting from this? If you want to take credit for the "good" things that allegedly happened after 1978, then shouldnt you not take credit for the bad things too? Am I saying China's directly responsible for the decadence, divorce, and prison culture? No. Certainly the west must also take responsibility for that, but one thing's for sure, after 1978, all of these things have gotten worse. Even those on the far right have to admit this. Those of you gifted with independent thought may be able to draw the conclusion that by accomodating some of the worst people in the west, China has allowed them to get strong. In addition to offering no resistance, China has directly funded western imperialists, and exploiters, through producing products for imperialists, lending them money, buying their overpriced products, hiring their English teachers, watching their movies, paying tuition in the west, allowing them to get stronger, and project their decadent, and police state values.

More to come
